Our structure allows for a one week grace period if it is your first or second class. For those who have moved past the 2nd week period, they can just catch up with one of our open floor sessions. Otherwise, we advise students to wait for the next 8-week Session,  so as not to feel completely overwhelmed.

Our classes follow an 8-week structure for all the levels. The 8-week beginner class will cover beginner level1, level2 and level3 for the beginner series and intermediate level1, level2 and level3 for the intermediate series. The structured classes allow our students to focus on technique, styling and lots of partner dancing without feeling overwhelmed. Our structured format gives students a start and end goal, with lots and lots of practice time.

Open floor allow students to come and practice as much as they want within the allotted time (see schedule). Although there are special dance shoes available for salsa dancing, students do not need to purchase special shoes for salsa. However, certain types of shoes (heals for women) are good for dancing while others ( flip-flops, tennis shoes) are bad for dancing.

How long it will take depends on how much time and practice you put into it. The average student attending class 2-3 times a week ( _______________________________) should be able to dance confidently within 4-6 wks. This also depends on each student’s dance background and natural ability.

Anything you find comfortable. Our classes are very informal and we want our students to be comfortable on the dance floor. We do however suggest our students refrain from flip-flops, tennis shoes or similar. Heals are always a good option for women.

Our classes are structured so that anyone can participate with or without a partner. This makes our class fun and more sociable. It also allows you to become more versatile as a lead or follow.
